Hannah Timmons was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1985 on a main thoroughfare of Mardi Gras, a child of two painters, and is forever influenced by those early years drenched in sound and color. After receiving a BFA in Film and Electronic Arts from Bard College in 2007, Hannah went on to study acting at the Actors Studio Drama School and completed her MFA in 2011 - shortly thereafter becoming a lifetime member of the Actors Studio. Returning to the directing side of things, Hannah worked for several years on a mixed media short documentary that brings to life the stories of sharecroppers that grew up on her family’s farm and former planation. The film has received several awards for best documentary at festivals across the US. Currently Hannah is focused on abstract drawings and paintings, inspired by her late father, Robert Randall Timmons.
